Tramway Restaurant
Come aboard our unique Tramway Restaurant for an absolutely unique experience! Take a trip back into history aboard these romantic restored tramcars.
Enjoy a delicious meal as you ride the tram tracks through the central city, past the Art Gallery, parks and shops, through Cathedral Square and the New Regent St Mall. As you pass through the city, your friendly driver will introduce you to the history of some of the outstanding buildings in central Christchurch.
Our restored heritage electric tram is air-conditioned, quiet and comfortable and you will enjoy fine cuisine and wine of the highest standard. At the end of your evening, you will be dropped back at Cathedral Junction or the tram stop nearest to your accommodation.
Rutherford Dinner Package

Includes unlimited selected beverages: house wines, beer, non- alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee. Spirits and liqueurs are not included. |
Due to the intimate setting and the fact that we are limited as to what facilities we can have onboard, we request that children must be over the age of 5 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a specialised Children's Menu but do allow a discounted rate for children between the ages of 5 and 10 years. Children 10 years and above are charged at full rate.
Please also note that the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant departs from Cathedral Junction, not Cathedral Square.
